Artist statement
I have been passionate about woodturning for over a decade. Growing up surrounded by the beauty of nature, I found my calling in transforming raw wood into pieces of art. I believe that each piece of wood holds a story, waiting to be told through the craftsmanship of woodturning. My work is a dialogue between nature and artistry, aiming to reveal the inherent beauty within each grain and knot.
I have worked with wood for many years, making furniture and small items. For Christmas of 2014, my wife gave me a lathe for Christmas, and I fell in love with the craft. I turn on two lathes, a Vicmarc VL 300 and a Laguna 1524, and have studied with some of the greats in the wood turning world such as Mike Mahoney, Marty Libman, Jeff Hornung and Kirk DeHeer.
In the professional world, I'm an author, speaker, and executive coach.
