Kevin Brown, Carolina Mountain Woodturner member, describes a very special one-of-a-kind pen made from wood commonly named Angelique. The wood (approximately 350 to 400 years old) was salvaged from the body of a ship named "The Spirit of South Carolina". He turned the wood to fit a Civil War pen mechanism. The article includes photos of the ship as well as the ship's specifications.
